A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to contribute to the success and development of elementary students. This contract position is set in an elementary school environment in Overland Park, KS, for the current school year (CSY). Ideal candidates will bring expertise in school-based SLP services and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and therapy services to elementary school students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student progress and promote clear communication.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed to ensure effective outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with state and federal regulations related to speech-language services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification with a focus on school-based practice.
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working in elementary educational settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and educational teams.
- Ability to manage a caseload and adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs.
